Another NetGalley review.
A really wonderful story, which, of course, is set in and all around London – perfect for London lovers!
My NetGalley review : Such a funny book! I enjoyed catching up with Sunny as she ran around London, seeing all the sights. A great ending for the book, and also for Sunny, who learnt to be herself and stand up for what she believed. Awe-inspiring!
The best thing about this book? Sunny growing throughout the book, even just through events from one evening, rolling into a second day. Sunny comes across as a real feisty character, someone who is great to read. She sets out to find her ‘boyfriend’, even if that means travelling across London, by bike, Moped, Underground, Bus, you name it!
I found this book such an enjoyable read, and I was in fits of laughter throughout the book. There is, of course, a happy ending, but what’s nice about this happy ending is (SPOILERS!!!!) Sunny’s boyfriend lands on his arse (strictly speaking!).
Sunny has a great group of friends behind her, and it just goes to show that friends really do have your back if relationships go a bit pear-shape!
As mentioned in my NetGalley review, Sunny is awe-inspiring and a great role model for teens and young adults who may need a reminder that if you have to go running around London, chasing after a guy, he’s probably not worth it.
I gave this book a four out of five and highly recommend it for those who’d like a quick read, and/or wants to read a book with a pretty kick-ass protagonist, this makes a great read!
