Another day, another couple of talk about.
Today I’m talking about John Green’s The Fault in our Stars and the couple Hazel and Augustus (or Gus).
You may want to get some tissues…
Also, there will probably, most likely be spoilers. You have been warned!
‘The story is narrated by Hazel Grace Lancaster, a sixteen-year-old girl with cancer. Hazel is forced by her parents to attend a support group in the “Literal Heart of Jesus” where she subsequently meets and falls in love with 17 year old Augustus Waters, an ex-basketball player and amputee.’
And thus begins their love story.
They go to Amsterdam, they fall in love, they fight for each other and against their illnesses.
And it’s so, so cute. It’s a wonderful yet, heartbreaking love story and I highly recommend the book. I read it on a train journey and couldn’t help but burst into tears.
Let me know in the comments below, if you’ve read The Fault in our Stars and what your opinion is of it, and I’ll be back at the end of the week with another blog post.
