I’ve got two posts up today for the same author, funny that.

First off is my review for Written into the Grave, part of the Blog Tour for this new release.

Having read the second book in the series, I was excited to be asked whether I’d take part in the blog tour for the third book.

I really enjoy mysteries, having been brought up with a family that enjoyed watching the likes of Poirot and Miss Marple on TV, this past few years I’ve really enjoyed reading mystery stories.

One thing that I really like about these series, and all of Viv’s books are the covers. The covers are absolutely wonderful and it was the first thing that made me stop and take notice of the book. It reminds me of a 1920 style image, with bright colours and bold text, it is bound to stand out in bookstores.

I found this book an easy read, it’s something that you can jump right into and this mystery will have you guessing right up to the end. The characters are lovely and the village seems oh so quaint – kinda like Midsomer Murder’s?

I would recommend this book to lovers of classic mysteries and, of course, cosy mysteries, or if you just love the cover!
