Christmas Lights | Favourite Fiction Book/s 2017

Just a quick note to say that this also includes Crime fiction books I’ve read this year, so there won’t be just one book. That and I thought I’d all bung it together, but I’ll let you know when the book is fiction and when it’s crime.

Looking at my Goodreads account, I’ve read 100 books this year, so far. As in there’s still time to read a couple or even one more before 2018 is well and truly here, so watch this space.

There are too many good books to pick from this year, so here’s a couple which I enjoyed and are definitely high on my list!

The Silent Companions

I think I’ve raved about this book before. But I picked it up from work, based on a recommendation from a colleague and read it in one day! I highly enjoyed this gothic and chilling book and would recommend this to anyone. Although don’t read this book in the dark or late at night, you might not sleep.

The Futures

Another book which I may have raved about before on the blog. The Futures reminds me of me and where I currently am, a graduate with a lack of direction (or a slight change in direction). A wonderfully written book with an ending we can all agree with, just keep working at it (life that is).

Crime Fiction

As creepy as this book is, I really enjoyed this book (see also Ragdoll) and have the second book The Collector to read, which comes out next year. Not as gruesome as Ragdoll but scary none-the-less, another book to read in the light rather than late at night.

The Dry

Another favourite of mine, an interesting mystery/crime read that I’d recommend to all! Jane also has another book coming out next year which is next on my TBR and if it was as good as this one, then the next read will be great!

There’s probably a bunch more books I could add to this list but, as always, let me know in the comments below what you think. Have you read any of my favourites or will you be adding them to your TBR? Or which favourites will you add to my list? Let me know in the comments below.
