Hello and happy heat wave if you’re in the UK – what a scorcher!
Today I’m taking part in a blog tour for this little number, published by Stripes and was released into the wild 3rd May (Thursday).
Cass has always wanted to audition as an acrobat for the famous Circus Boat that sails the warm seas of the Longest World. But when her chance is snatched away, she comes up with a new plan. Soon she has secured a job on the Palace Boat, following the circus around the islands. Yet Cass has been invited on the boat for a very different reason – and it’s not long before she is embroiled with thieves, sword fighters and a mysterious group of women called The Company of Eight…
Okay, as always, I’m going to mention the cover. Because it’s beautiful! It’s full of colour and magic and wonder and just reminds me so much of a circus (yes I totally get that this is what the book is basically about), but it works so well so great work design team!
I was also super excited to read this book.
Partly, cause it was a short read and I was bogged down with a lack of enthusiasm for my TBR pile. This book totally wound it’s way into my life and back into my TBR pile.
But also because of the blurb.
The story sounded AMAZING!
It’s full of fun and adventure, pirates, the ever-elusive ‘company of eight and, of course, the magical circus.
Set in a world of Islands, Cass is determined to become a part of the Circus, like her parents, but after a disastrous morning, she sets out on her own path. Which will lead her into oodles of trouble.
An action-packed game of Cat and Mouse as Cass tries to outrun pirates, learn all she can and fix things. But you’ll be pleased to know that yes, there is a happy ending.
Although, I am interested to see if they’ll be another book? More about Cass’s journey with the Company of Eight – anyone?
Be sure to check out the other blog posts in this tour and grab a copy of this book for young readers who love a bit of adventure and fun. It’s fantastical!
