This month, it’s Mental Health Awareness Week running from 18th-24th May, so this month I’ll be reviewing books that touch on that topic. We’re all affected with mental health at some point in our lives and now, more-so than ever, we need to think not only of our physical health but also our mental health, both ours and our friends and families.
The Mental Health Foundation has more information about this week on their website so do check it out for more information.
My first review of the month and it’s The Anxiety Solution by therapist Chloe Brotheridge. Chloe also runs a weekly podcast, The Calmer You Podcast, which is filled with interviews and information from other people in the industry. More information about Chloe and what she’s about can be found on her website.

Star Rating – 4 Stars
I read this book on e-reader about a couple of years ago and highlighted a bunch of stuff. I’d just started listening to Chloe’s podcast and was super interested to read more about her and what she recommended when it came to anxiety.
The book is filled with useful information and tips on how to recognise anxiety, what to do and how to work with your anxiety and to move on from it, using scientific research and examples from Chloe’s own experiences.
I found it super easy to read and understand and it’s the kind of book that you’ll want to read with a highlighter or notepad, it’s a book I’ll definitely be coming back to.
As always, let me know in the comments below if you’ve read the book and what you thought of it? Did you find it interesting and useful? And if you haven’t read it, will you be adding it to your TBR this month?
P.S. I think my favourite quote in the whole thing is ‘your anxiety is not your destiny. You are way more powerful than you realize and you will get past it.’
I’ll just let that sit with you…
